Advanced Research and Infrastructure for Material DX

About CIF

The Chitose International Forum has been organized by the Chitose Institute of Science and Technology on a yearly base since its foundation. CIF24 offers a platform to present the newest results in the research and infrastructure implementation to advance material development by artificial intelligence, big data collection, and analysis for a wide range on scientific disciplines.

CIST is part of the ARIM Network in Japan, the Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials and Nanotechnology in Japan. The aim is to provide a broad range of facilities at 25 research institutions for users from academia and industry for material preparation and analysis. Data will be collected with the aim to discover new materials and pathways for material digital transformation (Material DX). The term 'materials' is very broad and also includes natural materials, proteins, and so on.

We at CIST are in the group of Advanced Biomaterials, headed by Nagoya University.

The scope of CIF24 covers material synthesis, nano-fabrication, measurement and metrology, digital infrastructure, and data collection and computing.

CIF24 will be held as a hybrid conference with online and onsite oral sessions and an onsite poster session.
